Dr. Dana Slack
After 40+ years of full time Pastoral ministry the Lord led me and my wife Rose, to Salem Baptist to first be members and now as their Interim Pastor and first lady. Salem is a special place and I consider it a divine privilege to serve and lead this wonderful congregation
When I answered the call to ministry, I never dreamed all the places the Lord would take us. Rose and I both grew up in strong Christian homes and attended NC Baptist churches from birth until today.
My call to Pastoral ministry led me to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where I earned a Masters of Divinity with a concentration in Homiletics and Christian Education in 1985 and a Doctor of Ministry in New Testament Theology in 1996. My ministry focus has been to lead the Churches I served to move toward an outward ministry focus and to believe that God has an incredible plan for them. This ministry focus is centered in my favorite Scriptures, Jeremiah 29:11-13and Ephesians 3:20.
